About NLQ Designs
NLQ Designs was created in 2013 due to Nicole's deep-seated love for residential design. Initially, its purpose was to support interior designers by providing drawing packages and supplementary documents. Today, NLQ Designs is fully equipped to help clients bring their dream spaces to life. With Nicole's extensive knowledge in architectural design and construction, she offers invaluable assistance throughout the entire interior design process. In 2021, Nicole made the bold decision to leave the corporate world behind and focus solely on residential interior design, which truly ignites her passion. Her primary goal is to help clients transform their ideas into tangible creations. Nothing brings her more joy and contentment than crafting a space that not only aligns with the client's vision but also brings them immense satisfaction. She strives to create purposeful, beautiful, and practical spaces, working transparently, ensuring that every client is fully satisfied with the end result.
Nicole
Nicole's love for residential design grew from the time she was a little girl - rearranging her bedroom with furniture layouts created with an HB pencil and imagining new colour schemes. Her parents were often renovating or building new homes where she gained hands-on knowledge and experience.
Nicole received her diploma for Architecture and Building Engineering Technology from BCIT in 2005.
In 2009, Nicole began working with an architectural design firm. She found herself drawn to the interior details of residential design and bringing those details into the vision for the client.
For 10 years, Nicole worked with Save On Foods as a Store Planner. As a store planner, she designed stores and coordinated those store projects - from starting with the developers and a footprint, to coordinating with the department specialists, architect, mechanical and electrical engineers and interior designers, to implementing the drawings with the project managers and contractors with a brand-new store.
In 2021, Nicole left her position as Save On Foods to pursue her dreams in residential interior design.
Nicole spends her spare time with her 7 year old daughter and husband, hunting crabs and sea stars on local beaches or snuggling her Bulldogs and occasionally breaking out in dance and an off tune song.
